I like cakes. Making cakes is very interesting.
So I decided to
work at a cake shop in town. My friend and
I went to the cake shop
called Happy Cake Shop. I will tell you about
my work experince there.
My friend and I were asked to get there at
seven thirty on the first
day. We thought that it was too early. When
we got there at seven
thirty, Mr. and Mrs. Takai, the shop owners,
were working. I asked,
¡ÈWhen did you start to work ?¡É Mr. Takai
said,¡ÈI usually start to
work at six in the morning.¡É ¡(I thought
that working at a cake shop
was very hard.)
Many customers came to buy cakes at Happy
Cake Shop, beacuse cakes
were good, and Mr. and Mrs. Takai were nice
to thier customers. I
learned that it was very important for us
to be nice to other people.
On the last day two small children came to
the shop and said,¡ÈWe
want to buy a birthday cake for our mother.¡É
They only had three
hundred yen. They had to buy a small cake.
When they started to go
home, Mr. Takai said,¡ÈWait. I have a good
idea!¡É He wrote¡ÈHappy
Birthday!¡Éon the cake with chocolate. Mrs.
Takai put the cake in a
beautiful box. The children said,¡ÈOh, good!
Thank you.¡É They looked
very happy. I believed that the small cake
for their mother was ( A )
than a big one.
It was not easy to work at the shop. But
when I saw the children's
smile, I thought that it was not bad to work.
